What is the webinar about?

In this webinar, Tracey Dangerfield of SkillBase First Aid and Mark Saxby of Status Social join forces to tackle a key workplace issue: how digital distractions impact productivity and mental health at work.

This engaging and interactive webinar explores how employees can boost productivity, improve their mental health, and increase job satisfaction – simply by changing the way they use their smartphones.

Research shows that employees spend an average of two hours each workday on personal phone activity. This session will provide practical insights and strategies to help attendees rethink their relationship with their mobile devices.

In one company alone, 60% of employees reported greater job satisfaction and improved mental health after applying these techniques.

We’ll be exploring:
  • Why phones are such a powerful distraction at work (and what we can do about it!)
  • How overuse of devices is affecting team focus and collaboration
  • The unexpected ways phone habits are linked to workplace mental wellbeing
  • Practical strategies to help HR managers and team leaders set healthy phone boundaries while supporting employee mental health

Who is the webinar for?

This webinar is ideal for HR managers, team leaders, and business owners seeking practical strategies to manage phone use at work while promoting their team’s mental wellbeing.

Who will be speaking?

Tracey Dangerfield – Tracey’s journey began as a Creative Expressive Therapist, supporting children, parents, and teachers in building resilience.

She quickly noticed that many workplaces face significant challenges around stress, burnout, and mental health – so she decided to do more.

Now as Director at SkillBase First Aid, she and her team offer comprehensive first aid and mental health first aid training, including train-the-trainer courses. In addition, she designs bespoke programmes to help organisations boost emotional resilience and manage workplace stress.

At the heart of her work is a deep belief in the power of genuine human connection – helping leaders and teams create safer, happier, and more supportive workplaces.

Mark Saxby is a Social Media Radical – he encourages people to spend less time on it rather than more!

Former BBC and ITV journalist Mark created one of the UK’s first specialist social media consultancies nearly 15 years ago and has gone on to help his clients generate more than £20m in sales through social media.

However, Mark recognises that the negative side of social media also rips apart families and damages enterprise, so he created two ventures – the Positive Social charity which helps schoolchildren make better decisions about social media, and Be More Colin, which encourages greater productivity and better mental health through us spending less time on social media.
