We’ve put together a few examples of how you can apply this data to create impactful messages tailored to your audience. The possibilities are endless but we hope these spark some inspiration at the very least!

For In-House Workplace Trainers

Key Focus: Creating a culture of safety and mental wellbeing within your organisation.

  1. Highlight Areas of Improvement
    • Use the decline in work-related stress cases to emphasise the effectiveness of current mental health initiatives.
    • Share with colleagues that continued participation in workshops and training can maintain this positive trend.

    Example:
“Did you know workplace stress cases have decreased by 15% this year? Let’s build on this success by attending next month’s stress management session.”

  2. Address Ongoing Challenges
    • Discuss the rise in non-fatal injuries to stress the importance of ongoing safety training.
    • Present statistics on workplace fatalities to emphasise the critical need for compliance with safety protocols.

    Example:
“With non-fatal injuries rising to over 600,000 this year, let’s stay vigilant by refreshing our knowledge in the upcoming first aid training.”

  3. Celebrate Success While Inspiring Action
    • Share the UK’s strong international standing in workplace safety as a motivational tool.
    • Encourage teams to contribute further by attending refresher sessions or suggesting safety improvements.
For Self-Employed Trainers

Key Focus: Leverage the statistics to demonstrate expertise and attract clients.

  1. Raise Awareness Through Social Media
    • Share thought-provoking posts about the increase in workplace injuries and their costs.
    • Position yourself as a solution provider for companies looking to reduce these risks.

    Example Post:
“Did you know non-fatal workplace injuries have risen to 604,000 this year, costing the economy over £21 billion? Investing in first aid and safety training is more important than ever. Let’s work together to keep your team safe.”

  2. Promote Mental Health Training Services
    • Use the drop in mental health cases as a hook to highlight the benefits of training and raise awareness of your offerings.
    • Share testimonials or success stories to build trust with potential clients.

    Example Post:
