Exciting Update: New First Aid Online Presentations Available!

Hi First Aid Trainers,

We are thrilled to announce an exciting update to our training resources!

In the coming days, you will notice a new feature when you order on the hub.

There will now be a link to an online presentation alongside the usual directive downloads. This online presentation contains the most up-to-date version of our training materials.

Universal Accessibility

The new format is designed to be universally accessible on any internet-connected device, including PCs, Macs, phones, and tablets. This ensures that you can easily access your presentations anytime, anywhere.

Instant Updates

One of the most significant advantages of this new format is that any changes we make are immediately reflected in everyone’s presentations without downloading new copies. This means you will always have the latest information at your fingertips. This format has been successfully used in our fundamental well-being series of courses and has proven highly effective.

Transition Period

Rest assured, the old presentations will remain in your hub as usual. You can continue to use them until you have had time to familiarise yourself with the new format. The latest presentations contain the same slides and content as the previous versions, so there will be no significant surprises, just some cosmetic improvements. However, we recommend reviewing the slides before using them in a course, as animations and slide transitions differ slightly.

Quick Amendments

A significant advantage of online presentations is the ability to make quick amendments. If you spot anything that needs updating, such as a typo, please let us know via the Hero Makers Help Desk. We can make the amendment, which will instantly reflect across our whole range of courses. This ensures you always have the most accurate and up-to-date version of the slides.

Offline Access

We understand that internet access might not always be available during your training sessions. That’s why we’ve made sure you can still access your presentations offline, even if you don’t have a Google account.

Here’s how you can make sure your presentations are available offline:

1. Without a Google Account:
   • Open the Presentation: Use the link provided on the directive to open the presentation in your browser.
   • Make Available Offline: Go to “File” in the top menu and select “Make Available Offline.” This will ensure that you can access the presentation anytime, even without an internet connection.
2. With a Google Account:
   • Open Google Slides: Go to the Google Slides homepage.
   • Access Settings: Click on the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner to open the menu.
   • Enable Offline: Select “Settings,” then toggle the “Offline” switch to the right to enable offline mode.
   • Open the Presentation: Open the specific presentation you want to use offline. It will now be available for you without needing to be connected to the internet.

Rest assured, whether you’re online or offline, your presentations will be readily accessible when you need them.
